The EPD (Environmental Product Declaratio)
is a public document that offers a company the opportunity to communicate informations relating to the environmental performance of products and services.
It responds to new market needs: it is a flexible tool that can be updated at any time to reflect improvements in the performance of products and/or services.
The EPD is a declaration valid for all markets, national and international, and represents an input for tools and environmental management systems.
The EPD must be developed using life cycle assessment (LCA) as a methodology for identifying and quantifying environmental impacts.
