BUILDING AG - ZERO FORMALDEHYDE
Formaldehyde is the simplest and most common aldehyde found in indoor air, it is colorless and has a strong pungent smell.
The main indoor sources are made up of building materials, furnishings, tobacco smoke.
Formaldehyde emissions are a problem that are affecting the entire market fo several years, as European and world industry is using this substance since many years.
Formaldehyde is a ubiquitous pollutant because it is detectable everywhere: in the cities and along the roads because of the traffic, in homes and offices due not only to cigarette smoke but also to slow release from furniture (it is present in chipboard, plywood and in the glue) and furniture (emissions can come from carpets, curtains and coverings). It can also derive from the use of disinfectants, insecticides, fungicides and deodorants, cleaning materials for domestic industrial uses or for the disinfection of medical equipment.
Only recently, however, has been discovered the toxicity of this organic compound and, despite its declared harmfulness, the reform of legislation in the field to arrive, except for some sporadic rules for a few products, continuing to admit the indiscriminate use in the production of several goods and for the preservation of many foods.
In Italy th only rule of law on the matter is the Decree 10 October 2008 - Provisions to regulate the emission of formic aldehyde from panels based on wood and artifacts made with them in living and living environments (Official Gazette No. 288 of 10/12/2008.
Today, however, it is clear that the absence of formaldehyde improves air quality, and this absence complies with the limits set by LGA of Nuremberg.
Therefore, waiting for an adequate regulation that protects the health of people from dangerous exposures, it is clear that attention to products that are absolutely not harmful is maximum.
Today a greater ethical conscience combined with a better knowledge of the products allows to limit many possible damages to health, and also the building sector has had to update and adapt.
The amount of emissions is greater for new materials and the levels of formaldehyde within the confined environments are influenced by climatic conditions such as temperature and relative humidity.
As answered to the problem, Eurofibre offers the products of the range AG, characterized by the brand Zero Formaldeide.
